10 Lessons I Learned from Beychella
On April 15th, 2018, AT 1:15 AM CENTRAL TIME I witnessed greatness, BEYONCE'S coACHELLA PERFORMANCE. aFTER THE CONCERT, I sat, evaluated, and asked myself: what am I doing with my life? I stayed up till 5 A.M. in shock after this epic performance, thinking, taking it all in.
wELL. Here are the lessons i learned from watching BeychellA, ENJOY!
10. If what you’re presenting you've presented before, figure out a way to reinvent it.
9. You will aways be influenced by something or someone.
8. Get to the money.....let them stay mad.
7. Always pay attention to detail, put in the additional hours, it'll be worth it in the end.
6. Consistently work hard! Loving what you do doesn't mean the absence of hard work. But always make time to live your life.
5. You are your own measure of progress and success. Only comparison you need to make is with your own damn self. Stay in your own lane and if it doesn’t exist, create it!
4. Swag surf is a negro anthem and should be played at every party, gala, cookout, and housewarming along with Back that Thang Up (not Azz, I want to hear for the 99 and 2000's intro *sticks tongue out*)
3. Enjoy and have fun while pursuing your passions.
2. In the end, it's about leaving a legacy and using your platform to put good back into the world. It's a beautiful thing to leave people feeling empowered, especially those that look like you.
1. Always be unapologetically black and proud
Beyonce THANK YOU for being the epitome of blackness and black excellence. I love you, we love you. Say hi to the kids for me.
