Good Times Chicago: Smart Funny and Black Tour
Honestly, I’m just going to get straight to the point, no fluff, because this is something I'd recommend you to truly experience.

“Smart Funny & Black, Created by comedian/actress/producer, Amanda Seales (HBO Insecure) brings your favorite funny folks to the “Hall of Flava,” to compete, in a head to head battle of wits that tests their knowledge of black history, black culture, and the black experience. After a night of fun as hell games, flanked by a live band, and a turnt up audience, each show ends with one guest, literally, taking the “L”, the other, taking the crown, and being inducted into the, “Illustrious League of Master Blacksperts”.”

I. Got. My. entire life from attending this Smart Funny and Black!
I attended the 1st show at 7:30 PM which by the way started right on TIME! Yes Ms. Seales!
The Blacksperts competing were Luvvie Ajayi and Rashida Sheedz
Of course I love me some I'm Judging You, Jesus and Jollof, TED Talk, Rants and Randomness Luvvie, but I was delightfully introduced to Rashida Sheedz. Rashida Sheedz is an Actress, Writer, Comedian, and huge Chicago Activist who also won the Master Blackspert of the night.
Don’t you love walking away from an event a new fan of someone else, Rashida showed out and showed up for Chicago!
Give me a good ole live band! Amanda’s live band, The Clapbacks, did not miss a beat, they were so lit!
We sang, we swag surfed, we did the bus stop to Frankie Beverly and Maze all with a live band! As someone who played the trumpet all throughout middle and high school, I love a band especially one that plays some good black tunes!
Knowledge was dropped, there was tons of laughter, fun, audience engagement; Smart Funny and black was an amazing experience. Amanda even did her research and threw in some Chicago trivia! It was so good!
If you’re black, go see smart funny and black, if you’re not black go see smart funny and black.
I’m truly speechless and in awe, if anything you should walk away feeling empowered and inspired after the show. With soooooo much happening in this world, black people need this space as a reminder of how fun it is to be black and proud!
Smart, Funny, and Black is what walking in your purpose looks like and creating your own lane when one doesn't exist.
